I can't imagine it's anywhere near as heavy as my old Ensoniq KS-32---that thing is a beast to carry, and it's only 76 keys! Must be the weights (for the keys) and all the stuff below the surface. All the way down to San Jose. How are you going to carry the 88es? Its 4.5 feet long and 22 lbs!? I have the 49key version which fits neatly on my worktable and can be pushed to the back and out of the way. But I can't imagine traveling with an 88 key version. And you wouldn't want to put that in checked baggage. But will it fit in the overhead compartments on the plane? This I gotta see. Yes, Redwood City is considered part of the Bay Area.
