I always thought the same thing about that… but I didn’t post it. Props for who did.🙂
Well I don’t want to be a master of the obvious, but I was thinking that what was playing was the background for the rap lyrics listed below – a sort of on-line rap karaoke.
In some ways, isn’t this good minimalist practice? A repetivitve line anchoring the obligato, which in this case is the voice of the rapper. I suppose rap is all about words as sounds and rhythm – a lot of sharp edges – where a minimalist would perhaps go with a treble instrument and sustained tones. But in some ways they are not that far apart…
And yes David, your music is repetitive – but in a good way.
Thanks Paul—I think it’s repetitive in a good way. My wonderful wife would beg to differ with me, however.
What’s wrong with a good thing being repeated? Isn’t that why we like music? People gotta relax.
